Application & host monitoring

With host monitoring, Combell checks if a certain service or port is accessible and available. Through disk space monitoring, we keep a careful eye on the available disk space, so that we can notify you in time when a disk is about to be full on one of the servers.

Combell also monitors user scripts. This way, we can e.g. monitor all activities taking place on a web shop, such as the web services for placing orders, etc. We carry out a complete content check, thanks to which you can virtually count on the monitoring of the entire environment.

Vulnerability scanning

Monitoring is based on detecting and reporting possible problems. In order to anticipate these problems, Combell also provides vulnerability scanning.

In collaboration with a specialised partner, we perform penetration tests, thanks to which we can map the concrete level of protection. The tests will reveal possible weak points, to which Combell will then pay extra attention. Every month, we will provide you with a report of the performed tests.

Performance monitoring & trend analysis

In order to guarantee the smooth functioning of your systems, Combell provides constant monitoring.

In the context of performance monitoring, we follow up on several functions of your hosted servers: CPU, memory, disk space, processes, network statistics, etc. You can consult the numbers through a web page. Monitoring also enables you to approach the management of the hosted servers proactively.

With the results of the monitoring activities, we can - by mutual agreement - perform a trend analysis. This allows, among other things, to deduce how your environment will keep evolving in the future, and which changes you should best anticipate in order to support this evolution efficiently. Combell has a dedicated customer care team that analyses the results of the performance monitoring, in order to subsequently - again, in consultation with the customer - determine the correct interpretation of the observed trend.
